Srinagar, Sept 8: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference Youth President for Kashmir Sufi Tahir on Tuesday urged the government to urgently address the concerns of intern doctors, following a hunger strike by intern doctors at various GMCs
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Tahir appealed to Health Minister Sakina Itoo to meet the protesting doctors and provide them with a written assurance on their demands.
“It is unfortunate that one of the intern doctors, Dr Faisal of SKIMS JVC, has to go on hunger strike. Sakina Itoo ji should meet these doctors. They need a written assurance,” Tahir said.
Tahir Sufi reiterated that the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference would stand with the protesting doctors and support efforts aimed at resolving their concerns.
He called for constructive engagement between the authorities and the protesting doctors and urged timely intervention to bring the matter to a resolution.
