SUCCESSFUL CONDUCT OF NALSA JAGRITI AWARENESS PROGRAMME AT TANGDHAR

Kupwara : The Chairman, Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Tangdhar, Mr. Mansoor Ahmad Mir (Munsiff/JMIC), places on record his sincere gratitude and deep appreciation to all the officers, officials, institutions, departments, stakeholders, volunteers and participants whose dedicated efforts, cooperation and active involvement contributed to the successful conduct of the NALSA JAGRITI Awareness Programme on “Empowered Youth, Stronger India” at Government Degree College, Tangdhar, organised by the Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Tangdhar and District Legal Services Authority, Kupwara, under the aegis of the Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority and in furtherance of the objectives of NALSA.

The programme, graced by the presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Patron-in-Chief and Executive Chairman, J&K Legal Services Authority, as the Chief Guest, assumed special significance as an endeavour to take legal awareness, legal services and the message of access to justice to the people of the remote and frontier areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

Particular appreciation is extended to Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Mr. Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, IAS,
SSP Kupwara Mr Tahir Geelani (KPS),
Mr. Reyaz Ahmad (KAS), SDM Karnah; Mr. Mohd. Amin, Tehsildar Karnah; Principal, Government Degree College, Tangdhar; Block Development Officer, Tangdhar/Teetwal; Block Medical Officer, Tangdhar; Zonal Education Officer, Tangdhar; SHO, Police Station Karnah; and In-Charge Police Posts Tadd and Teetwal, along with all officers and officials of the Sub-Divisional Administration, for their valuable cooperation and coordination.

Sincere appreciation is also extended to the officers and personnel of the R&B, PWD, PHE, Health, Police, Army, Forest, Fire & Emergency Services, JKPDC, PMGSY, Irrigation & Flood Control, Information and other line departments, whose coordinated efforts and logistical support ensured the smooth conduct of the programme.

The Committee gratefully acknowledges the contribution of the Bar Association, Tangdhar; Civil Society; Para-Legal Volunteers; staff of the Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Munsiff Court and prosecution; faculty and students of GDC Tangdhar and other educational institutions; Pahari Cultural Group; media persons; medical teams; artists and other participants.

Special appreciation is placed on record for the students and artists who presented the cultural programme and awareness skit on drug trafficking, conveying meaningful messages of youth empowerment, social responsibility and the harmful effects of substance abuse. The medical camp organised alongside the programme, providing free consultation, treatment and medicines to the local population, further strengthened the community outreach of the initiative.

The successful conduct of the programme reflects the effective coordination, collective responsibility and dedicated efforts of all concerned. Their contribution has given meaningful expression to the grassroots philosophy of the NALSA JAGRITI Scheme, particularly its objective of taking legal awareness and access to legal services closer to people residing in remote and difficult-to-reach areas.

The valuable services, cooperation and support rendered by all stakeholders are sincerely acknowledged and gratefully appreciated.
