MSAGS Sopore Students Visit Indian Military Academy, Dehradun Under Operation Sadbhavana

 

Sopore, September 19: As part of the Indian Army’s Operation Sadbhavana, a group of 40 students from MSAGS Sopore, comprising 20 boys and 20 girls, accompanied by two teachers, visited the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, on September 19 as part of an educational and motivational visit.

 

The visit provided the students an opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the ethos, traditions and values associated with military leadership. They were also introduced to the core values of the Indian Army, including discipline, integrity, courage, teamwork and commitment to the nation.

 

During their interaction at IMA, the students gained insights into leadership, service and the Armed Forces as a career option. The engagement was aimed at broadening their horizons, encouraging them to pursue excellence and nurturing a spirit of discipline and responsibility.

 

As part of the visit, the students also explored the cultural and educational heritage of Dehradun through local sightseeing, making the programme a holistic learning experience beyond the classroom.

 

The visit is expected to leave a lasting impression on the students and encourage them to carry the values of leadership, discipline and service back to their school and community.

 

Through initiatives under Operation Sadbhavana, the Indian Army continues to engage with the youth of Jammu and Kashmir through educational, motivational and community-oriented programmes aimed at broadening horizons, nurturing aspirations and empowering young minds to become confident and responsible citizens.
