New Delhi, September 10: The 74th Inter Services Basketball Championship 2026–27 concluded successfully at Mercury Stadium, Army Basketball Node, 1 Army Headquarters Signals Regiment, with Indian Army Red emerging as champions after defeating the Indian Air Force 81–50 in the final.
The championship witnessed intense competition among the participating services, with teams displaying determination, discipline, teamwork and exemplary sporting spirit throughout the tournament.
Indian Army Red secured the first position, followed by the Indian Air Force in second place, Indian Navy in third and Indian Army Green in fourth position.
Lt Gen Vivek Dogra, SM, Signal Officer-in-Chief and Colonel Commandant, graced the final as the Chief Guest. He applauded the participating teams for their spirited performances and commended their commitment to sporting excellence.
The championship highlighted the values of jointmanship, discipline, camaraderie and excellence, bringing together athletes from the three Services in a competitive yet sporting environment.
The successful conclusion of the championship marked another significant occasion celebrating military sportsmanship and the spirit of service before self.
